Experienced Energy Consultant , Dunfermline

Role
We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within a progressive company that offers a variety of high-level building compliance and design services. We are offering the opportunity for an experienced professional with Autodesk skills the chance to work within our multi-disciplinary office. Focus will be directed towards SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) calculations and working alongside our architectural team.

Stuart King Architecture operate as an intrinsic part of the construction design industry offering a comprehensive suite of services to clients ranging from architects and
major contractors through to Housing Associations and City Councils.

Responsibilities

  • Experience delivering low carbon retrofit projects
  • Experience reviewing and analysing energy performance
  • Experience within the housing sector
  • 4 years or more experience within the industry
  • Understanding or the market drivers for zero-carbon sustainability within the public sector
  • Experience in new-build domestic and commercial energy and sustainability standards
  • Ability to support senior team members in successful delivery of projects

Key roles:

  • Working directly with construction clientele on large domestic housing developments
  • Working directly with construction clientele on large domestic commercial developments
  • Consulting on technical detailing and low carbon energy performance
  • Lead a team of experienced energy assessors
  • Consulting on in depth energy and renewable options for clients and industry professionals
  • Working alongside a diverse multi-disciplinary team
  • Attending CPD’s and other training requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Autodesk CAD, Revit (desirable) and Sketch-up
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office
  • Experienced understanding of SAP, SBEM and Scottish Technical Standards
  • Experience using Elmhurst (active registration preferred)
  • Experience using JPA Designer (not necessity)
  • Understanding and experience in thermal modelling
  • Possess a high standard of work ethic
  • Good communication and management skills
  • Confident with self-management
